Secondary/UTC/Studio School Applications for September 2026

Applications for secondary school transfer, UTC and Studio Schools for September 2026 are now closed.  The application window closes on 31st October each year.  Please contact us on 0345 155 1019 or email us at admissions@devon.gov.uk if you require a paper version of the application form to be sent to you.  Applications received after 31st October will be considered late unless you can demonstrate that you were unable to apply on time, for example, because of illness or a house move. For illness to be taken into account, it must have prevented an application being made.

In-Year School Applications

Please ensure you have read our in-year admissions guide before you begin the application process as this will assist you in understanding the process.

Please note that In-Year applications do not have a specific closing date; however, they can take up to 15 school days to process, particularly during busy periods. Applications received in now may not get a decision until the Schools return in September. If you are unable to apply online and require a hard copy of the application form, please call us on 0345 155 1019 or email admissions@devon.gov.uk.

Primary/Infant/Junior School Applications for September 2026

The online application portal for Reception (Primary/Infant Schools) and Year 3 (Junior Schools) admissions in September 2026 will open on the the 15th November 2025 and close on the 15th January 2026.
